# How do I create a PIN code for tablet registration?

You can create a **PIN code** for tablet registration. This makes it easier to control who registers waste and ensures only trusted people have access on the Carrot Tablet App on the iPad.

### **How it works**

1. Go to **Settings** in [Carrot for Tenants](http://tenants.carrot.tech), as shown below
2. Enter your desired PIN code in the ***Choose PIN*** field
3. Click **Save**

The PIN code can be changed or removed at any time. Remember to save your changes.

**Remember to note down the PIN code and share it with all relevant people who should register waste on behalf of your company.**

Note: *This feature must be activated for your business. If you do not see this setting, it may not be enabled. Please reach out to [support@carrot.tech](mailto:support@carrot.tech) for enablement.*
